connection issues

so I have some problems with my internet that I can't seem to fix on my own

obviously it works, but something is hindering my connection severely. I'm on a wireless N connection and my ISP provides me with a 40mb/s connection

some of the problems I am having is extremely slow download speeds .. like 200-300 kb/s sometimes. Sometimes it approaches a meg a second ... rare though. This is any kind of downloading

Another problem I am having is very slow video streaming. I can barley watch videos on youtube because it buffers so damn slow. It's not just youtube, any app that plays video does this

And another odd problem I have that's probably related is issues connecting with css/tf2 severs. I tried contacting steam about this one, but they are beyond useless. The servers come up on the list, but when I try to join the server info screen comes up and says "cannot connect to server". If i just try over and over again it'll eventually work.

thanks for any help

That sucks... sometimes you can get business class internet though Time Warner that may have better service for about the same amount monthly. That's what I do with Comcast...
