Happy 10th anniversary DF2 :: Posted by: Bustin on October 31st
Happy ten years to the DF2 community. On this day in 1999 Delta Force 2 shipped to retailers across the United States.
It's been a loooooooooooong road and I am glad there is still a small dedicated niche of players to this day.
I hope to see that number atleast hold steady for as long as NL keeps servers up.:bday::trink: |

DFX2 MED Little Helper Released. :: Posted by: skinny killer on August 19th
Hey Hey guys!
Me and my friend BigJoe made this MED little Helper for DFX2.
It allows you to view each environment and each Time of day of each environment. so you can basically watch the whole day cycle right in front of your eyes in like 10 seconds.
It allows you to view the C, H and D views of every terrain.
it has a water color tool that will allow you to see the exact RGB value of the color you want.
It has the DFX2 Wave list provided by Dave61 from Nova hq right in the software.
And it has a DFX1 and DFX2 map database tool which will allow you to select your DFX1 or DFX2 directory and easily back-up any maps you want to a safe folder.
My friend Joe made the coding (actually his fisrt program he ever made ) and he made the map Database tool.
I took all 700+ screenshots for the software and made all of the graphics. and I designed the program layout.
And my friend Dave made the WAVE list which we added to the software.
you can download it with the online installer here.

We hope this is a big help to DFX2 mappers. and will encourage more mappers to make maps and to help keep Nova alive!
Happy mapping!

Happy Birthday to us. :: Posted by: Steve on August 9th
It's tradition that we miss our birthday... and no suprises we missed it again this year. We were 8 years old 5 days ago.
We actually got the chance to add a new game to the site this year (DFX2), and maybe Angel Falls by next year, who knows?
Anyway, thanks for still sticking with us and helping the DF community stay alive.

IC:E is coming to an end :: Posted by: J-Factor on July 8th
It seems to be currently popular to stop Mod Development, from what I just read.
quote: After many, many hard working late nights & long stressful days of working on the ICE mod...The mod team will be terminating further support after - ICE v2.0.2 patch...
Relating to this NO further comments at this time...
On behalf of the modteam I would like to apolagise to you the public & the tournament, but unfortunately the ICE Mod does not meet the requirements of the tounament...even after spending alot of hours re-calibrating some of the mod to suit the tournaments gameplay & performance...
FAQ:
-----
Q. Will the mod team be looking at DFX2 or any other game that the tourney or public could move to?
A. At this time its being considered but no further comments at present.
Q. Will the emphasis of a possible future mod be made for tournaments, public or both?
A. The advantages of creating a mod for the public is that we are not restricted to the imagination & creativity, were as with a tournament its difficult to balance out Quality, Playablity without the compromise of performance for a tournament server/s...
As it stands it would be more beneficial to develop for public play, perhaps in time tournaments could adapt styles of play around a publically emphasized mod using the content provided...
But at this time there has been no decisions on any future mod or emphasis...
---------
ICE Mod v2.0.2 Patch - Features
--------------------------------
The new ICE mod patch will feature both 32bit (XP/Vista) & 64bit (XP/Vista), these options will be available during setup and will allow YOU the user to 'Check' the correct option that corresponds to your operating system...
For all other information regarding the final patch - (Release notes) 1 week prior to the final patches release, official release notes will be posted as usual...
Finally:
-------
The mod team would like to thank all players who have played the ICE mod and we hope you enjoyed it as much as the mod team did making it lol...
Also I would personally like to thank all the mod developers who helped in the making of the ICE mod, for all your extremely hard work to deliver such a huge project into the gaming world...
Also I'd like to thank all our affiliates, beta testers & external resources for all the player to developer support...
And the Admins here at International Conflict / MyIS for all your work on getting the ICE project official with Novaworld...
